Sofia Vergara
Sofia Margarita Vergara Vergara is a Colombian model who was raised and born in Barranquilla. Margarita Davila de Vergara is her mother. Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo provides livestock to the meat industry. She is one of five sisters. She went to a private, bilingual school which offered Spanish and English. After completing her pre-dentistry studies in the field, she started working in the television and modeling business. However, Sofia was discovered by a photographer, whilst at the beach, and this resulted in a variety of jobs in modeling and television. After her 23rd birthday when she started modeling, she was discovered as an actress. She hosted the travel show Fuera de serie (1996) in 1995 through 1998. The show brought her attention to the American public. The first film appearance she had was in the crime-comedy Big Trouble (2002). Gloria Delgado Pritchett was the person who made her the main character on Modern Family, an American TV show (2009). From 2010 to 2013, she earned four Emmy nominations including Outstanding Supporting Actress on a Comedy Series for this role. Sofia has a son named Manolo at home in Los Angeles.
